The flavor is a bit milder, so you\u2019ll appreciate that if you\u2019re not a fan of that noticeable kale flavor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, do note that the texture is different, too. This means that spinach might not make a great swap in recipes like a hearty salad, that relies on kale\u2019s firmer leaves to mix with heavier dressings and other ingredients without turning limp and soggy, like spinach might. Cabbage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Like spinach, cabbage is another kale swap that you can use if you particularly don\u2019t like kale\u2019s tougher texture, or you don\u2019t like kale\u2019s unique flavor. However, cabbage, of course, has a unique flavor of its own, so that\u2019s something to keep in mind. It will impact the overall flavor of your dish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s worth pointing out that, while cabbage doesn\u2019t get the same love for its health benefits as kale, cabbage still offers plenty of health benefits worth noticing. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodhousekeeping.com\/health\/diet-nutrition\/a25655611\/cabbage-nutrition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Good Housekeeping<\/a> points out that, just like kale, cabbage is low in calories and high in Vitamin C, while providing digestion benefits and flavonoids.
