Blend until smooth (just like you might when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthygreenkitchen.com\/lemon-balm-and-cashew-pesto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">making pesto<\/a>), then portion the oil-and-herbs mixture into&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Souper-Cubes-Tablespoon-Freezing-color\/dp\/B08RSNVL72?th=1&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=healthygreenkitchen-20&amp;linkId=cc5c0028d7639b39003194b34413cec4&amp;language=en_US&amp;ref_=as_li_ss_tl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">an ice cube tray<\/a>&nbsp;(consider freezing the herbs in portions of a tablespoon or teaspoon for easier use in recipes later).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Freeze and then you can either pop the frozen cubes out of the tray for saving in a freezer bag or you can leave the cubes in the tray until you\u2019re ready to use them (make sure the tray itself is tucked into an air-tight bag or that the tray features an air-tight lid). Whatever you do, once you\u2019re ready to add some fresh, herby goodness to your next meal, all you&#8217;ll need to do is melt the cube in a skillet or, if you\u2019re making something like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthygreenkitchen.com\/creamy-dairy-free-pasta-sauce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a pasta sauce<\/a> or soup, just add the cube right to whatever you\u2019re cooking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No oil on hand? You can also do the same thing with water. If you don\u2019t want to break out the blender, you can also rough-chop the herbs before freezing, too. If you plan on using them mostly for garnishes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While frozen fresh herbs still taste great, they don\u2019t look that great once they\u2019re defrosted.
